Welcome to St. Ignatius Parish. I like to think of our parish as a large family united in living our faith. This is a vibrant and enthusiastic community of about 250 families. We are a people without barriers who enjoy supporting and growing with one another. We enjoy each other’s company both at liturgy and in the doing of parish events. Volunteerism is a way of life here. Our faith community is always calling forth the talents and gifts of its members; do you have something you might offer in terms of time and talent? I would love to talk with you. My role as pastor is to guide, to teach and to sanctify each member of our community. I do that most effectively in the administration of the Sacraments. I will prepare you for the baptism of your children, hear your confessions on both a regular scheduled basis and by personal appointment. I will guide you in preparing for Marriage and Confirmation. I will walk with you in the RCIA process. I will anoint you with holy oil when you are sick or dying. I will pray with you at your bedside and I will offer your soul to God in death. Most importantly, I will celebrate the presence of Christ with us in the Eucharist. I am your spiritual servant, use me. If you are new to the Parish, I would love to sit and talk with you. If you have anything I can help you with please call upon me. We welcome with open arms new members and those with questions about the faith. I begin my day early so feel free to call anytime after 6 am, seven days a week (507-346-7565). If I am not home, please leave a phone message, I usually check my messages several times a day. I usually take a “time-out” right after lunch so you may catch me snoozing then. You may also email (fsteve@centurytel.net) or send a fax (507-346-7725). I have a cell phone (507-273-4916) but I don’t have it on much of the time. |
