Fr. Steve’s 5¢:
In the spirit of our Lenten call to practice charity, I have invited Fr. Jaime Diaz, a priest for Food for the Poor, to visit our parishes on the weekend of March 8 & 9. We have become familiar with the good work this organization is doing in helping the very poor in the Caribbean and Central America. Each of our parishes currently sponsors a child with Food for the Poor and I know many of you contribute to their programs on your own. Fr. Diaz will address us at each of the Masses as he speaks about areas Food for the Poor is currently making inroads.
Soon, the forty days of Lent will fade away and we will enter into Holy Week to remember our Lord’s passion, death and resurrection. Easter follows with 50 glorious days of celebration.
In order to experience Easter with the fullest possible meaning, you must begin with the Triduum. The Triduum is a three-day continuous liturgy beginning on Holy Thursday and culminating at the Easter Vigil. I invite you to attend a service on each of these holy days if you want to truly enter into the spirit of Christ’s great gifts. Our Triduum schedule is:

For a fuller experience, attend the meal of the Passover, also called the Seder Meal, offered at St. Ignatius on Holy Thursday prior to the Mass of the Lord’s Supper. If you have never attended one, make it a point to learn what this day meant to Jesus as a Jew. It was during a Passover meal that He established the priesthood and instituted the Eucharist.
Spring arrives on March 20th and Easter begins on the 23rd . Let’s greet both with unabashed joy and gratitude - and hope that spring is here to stay!

CYO
St. Ignatius CYO will be going snow tubing at Good Earth Village on Sunday,
March 16th. Meet at the church by 12:30 p.m. We will return to the church at 5:30 p.m.
Cost is $5.00. Snacks and beverages will be provided, but please bring tubes and sleds. All kids in 5th grade on up are invited to attend. Questions, please call Chris or Kelly Hansen @ 352 – 4055.
Knights of Columbus
A
big thank you to the Knights for making our Free Throw Contest a
success. This year we served pizza and pop to the participants
afterwards and had a great time.
Another
thank you to a large number of out Knights and their Ladies for
making our Windsor pork chop dinner a great success. A sincere
thank you to our newest Knight Rick Kvam's wife, Arlette, for the
great job of decorating the hall for this event. Welcome
aboard, both of you!
We
are planning another pancake breakfast to take place sometime next
month. Watch the bulletin for an announcement.
Tootsie
roll drive will happen again near the end of the month of
April.

Altar Society
March is MN Food Share month. We will, once again, be competing with the other area churches to see who donates the most food. Food will be collected each Sunday, weighed, and delivered to the food shelf. Please be generous and, hopefully, we will win this year! Thank you in advance.

CCW is planning a meal to take place in early April in the Social Hall and fellowship following.

St. Finbarr is in need of a musician to play for our weekly celebrations. If you are interested, or know someone in the community that would be interested (Catholic not mandatory), please contact Father Steve.

During Lent the children will be placing hearts on the cross showing a "Change of Heart". The children's collection will sponsor a child in Honduras. The food collection will be donated to the local food shelf received during the offertory.
